Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the Indore Metro on May 31 from a program held in Bhopal.

After the launch, Indore residents will be allowed to enjoy metro travel.

The metro will run from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The minimum fare will be ₹20, and the maximum will be ₹30.

Initial Route and Free Travel Offer

For now, the metro will run on a six-kilometer-long "Priority Corridor." During the first week, passengers can travel for free. After that, discounted fares will be offered.

Metro Every 30 Minutes

Trains will be available every 30 minutes on the Priority Corridor. In the beginning, trains with 3 to 4 coaches will run. Each train set has three metro coaches. Plans are being made to connect the metro with city buses from different parts of the city.

The full metro project will cover a total distance of 31.32 kilometers, including 22.42 km of elevated tracks and 8.7 km of underground tracks.

There will be 28 stations on the Yellow Line, which aims to provide a smooth and eco-friendly journey.
