Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh): Collector Himanshu Chandra directed officials to provide free training to maximum number of girls of Banchhada community to prepare them for recruitment to police, army and paramilitary forces.
Collector said girls should be trained for both written and physical tests.
The collector said panchayat secretaries working in areas dominated by Banchhada community should encourage and train maximum girls under Shakti Vahini Yojana. They should ensure five eligible people get selected for self-employment schemes each month.
Collector Chandra gave these orders during monthly review of Pankh Abhiyan, Neemuch, for Bachhada community welfare at collectorate hall on Monday.
All panchayat secretaries from Bachhada villages, district officers including district panchayat CEO Aman Vaishnav, joint collector Dr Mamta Khede, deputy collector Mayuri Jok and Kiran Anjana attended the meeting.
Collector told officials to select maximum Banchhada community people under Sant Ravidas Swarojgar Yojana for work like animal care, goat keeping, sewing, beauty parlour and spice business.
He told deputy director Horticulture to get loans and grants approved for four people under Pradhan Mantri Micro Food Upgradation Scheme. Industry general manager was asked to give jobs to interested Bachhada youth in district industries.
Currently, district administration runs free classes at Jaju College Neemuch for police, army and paramilitary tests under Shakti Vahini Yojana.
