Journalist Govind Solanki Passes Away
Manawar (Madhya Pradesh): Journalist Govind Solanki, passed away at the age of 65 on Wednesday. His last rites were performed on Thursday at Semalda Ghat, with his son Lokpal performing the final rituals. He was in the journalism field for nearly 40 years.
Solanki was known for his transparent and fearless journalism. He was widely respected for his dedication to public service and his firm stand against corruption. His news reports were prominently published across the district, earning him a reputation as a strong and principled journalist.
Child Found Alone On Express Train
Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh): During a routine inspection of Mumbai Central-Indore Avantika Express between Vadodara and Indore, railway checking staff discovered a minor child alone in S1 coach.
Upon inquiry, the child could provide his name but was unable to give details about his ticket, family, home address or any contact information.
In response to the concerning situation, railway checking staff promptly informed Government Railway Police (GRP) in Godhra. The child was safely handed over to on-duty GRP personnel at Godhra station for further assistance and action.
Traffic Police Crackdown On Illegal Gas Kits
Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh): Taking action in view of increasing accidents, traffic department intensified checks on gas kits fitted in both four-wheelers and two-wheelers at Ingoria Gate on Thursday. Many recent incidents have resulted in sudden fires caused by unfit vehicles and illegal gas installations.
During the operation, six vehicles with illegal gas kits were seized and taken to the traffic police station. Additionally, drivers were slapped with challan for violation such as using black film on windows, not wearing seat belts and helmets.
The traffic police advised people to show compliance with regulations, urged the public to avoid illegal gas kits and adhere to traffic rules. Public awareness campaigns are also being launched to promote responsible driving practices in the district.
