Weather expected on Friday
The Meteorological Department has issued a moderate to dense fog alert for the next three days (till January 6). However, no cold wave warnings were forecast for Friday.
According to IMD Bhopal’s scientist Arun Sharma, foggy conditions will persist which will result in the rise of 2-3°C in minimum temperatures after three days.
The weather department added, “Snowfall in Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Ladakh is bringing icy winds to Madhya Pradesh. A jet stream at 12.6 km altitude is moving at 222 km/h, further intensifying the cold. As snow starts to melt in northern regions, winds are expected to become stronger, making January colder.
