Madhya Pradesh: Sheopur Man Held For Downloading Child Pornographic Content | File
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A man from Sheopur was arrested by the State Cyber Cell for allegedly downloading a video with child pornographic content and for watching it on a social media platform.
According to SP (cyber cell) Savyasachi Saraf, a team of DSP Narendra Singh Raghuvanshi, Inspector Anju Patel, ASI Ram Bajpai and constable Ramesh Bhide conducted a deep technical analysis of the complaint received through the Cyber Tipline of the Ministry of Home Affairs, GoI, in which information was received that a person had downloaded a video related to child pornographic content.
A case under section 67-B of the IT Act was registered against a person and the investigation started by the officials.
During the investigation, the accused named Devsingh Jatav, a resident of Sheopur, was identified and he was later taken into custody. He allegedly informed the officials that he had become a social media group member after he had received a link.
By downloading the link his number was added in that group. There was a pornographic video of a minor child found in the group, which he had downloaded in his mobile phone. The officials said that the accused had thrown the mobile phone and SIM card after breaking them somewhere.
