Dhar (Madhya Pradesh): Bagh police have made significant progress in solving a dacoity that occurred a month ago in Mahakalpura. On Wednesday, they arrested five individuals, who allegedly assisted the miscreants.
The police recovered property worth Rs 10 lakh, including gold and silver jewellery, Rs 25,000 in cash and a Toofan vehicle.
Kukshi SDOP Sunil Gupta reported that the first suspect, Sohan Bamnia, was apprehended during the investigation. Upon interrogation, it was revealed that a total of 15 people were involved in the robbery.
The accused had arrived in Mahakalpura in a Toofan vehicle, and a neighbour, Raju Sisodia, along with the complainant's brother-in-law, Shankar, provided crucial information to the robbers.
During the robbery, some miscreants threw stones to prevent neighbours from leaving their homes, while others assaulted the family and stole property valued at around Rs 5 lakh, which included jewellery, cash, an LED TV and goats.
Those arrested are Bhadak Singh Hathila, Jugan Dawar, Sohan Bamnia, Pappu and Raju Sisodia. Despite these arrests, 10 suspects remain at large. In recognition of the police team's efforts, SP Manoj Kumar Singh has announced a reward of Rs 10,000 for their work in this case.
