Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Meets In Indore’s Rajwada, Approves Over ₹700 Cr For Hospital In Indore; Hostels For Working Women To Be Built In Industrial Hubs

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): For the first time ever, a cabinet meeting was held in Indore on Tuesday, marking a historic moment on the 300th birth anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar.
The meeting took place at Rajwada — the heart of Indore and the very place where Devi Ahilyabai once ruled with wisdom and compassion.

Several key decisions were taken during the cabinet meeting:
Rs 21 Crore Approved for Omkareshwar Development: The government will develop Omkareshwar on the lines of the Mahakal Lok corridor to promote the teachings of Adi Shankaracharya. A special center, library, and hostel will be built as part of this project.
Working Women Hostels in Industrial Areas: New hostels for working women will be set up in major industrial areas like Udyog Nagri Pithampur and Mandideep. The government is considering seeking financial support from industries through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds.
Advanced Hospital for Rewa: A major health infrastructure project was approved with Rs 321 crore allocated for a new advanced hospital in Rewa, aiming to improve medical facilities in the region.
A major decision was made to revive the state’s largest government hospital — Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital (MYH) — with an approved budget of ₹773 crore.
As part of this plan, a new seven-storey hospital building will be constructed on eight acres of land, opposite Chacha Nehru Hospital.
Yadav earlier said that the metropolitan model would enhance basic civic amenities while catalyzing industrial and commercial growth in the regions.
He added that with the creation of metropolitan cities, trade and industry would receive a significant boost.

After lunch, ministers will continue the discussion with a focus on the long-term vision for the state — the Madhya Pradesh 2047 Road Map, which outlines goals for development and progress over the next two decades.
This historic cabinet meeting in Indore not only paid tribute to Devi Ahilyabai Holkar but also set the tone for future development in the state.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, along with ministers including Kailash Vijayvargiya, arrived at the venue from Lal Bagh Palace in an electric AC bus.
The event was held in a traditional and symbolic manner. Minister Vijay Shah, however, was absent due to an ongoing inquiry over a controversial comment.
