Last Shravan Somwar 2025: Over 1.5 Lakh Devotees Visit Mahakaleshwar Temple In Ujjain Till 11am; Lord Mahakal Adorned With Bhang & Sandalwood

During Bhasma Aarti, devotees without permission also took the mobile darshan in the mobile darshan system.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Today marks the fourth and last Monday of the month of Shravan 2025. Over 1 lakh devotees have visited Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar temple till 11am on August 4. Over 2 lakh more are expected during the day.

The doors were opened during Bhasma Aarti at 2.30 am on Monday. 'Jal' was offered to Lord Mahakal and ash was applied to him. After Panchamrit Abhishek Puja, Lord Mahakal was adorned in the form of a king with bhang sandalwood and ornaments.

During Bhasma Aarti, devotees without permission also took the mobile darshan in the mobile darshan system. During this, the entire temple complex echoed with the chants of Mahakal. Devotees took blessings of Baba Mahakal.

Bhang and Sandalwood offered to Lord Mahakal

Pandit Mahesh Pujari said that the month of Shravan is a month of penance. The daily routine of the Lord in the Mahakal temple remained like every day. Bhang and sandalwood was offered to the Lord in the morning. Devotees who come to visit the Mahakal temple in the month of Shravan please Lord Mahakal by offering water and taking his blessings.

At 4 pm, Mahakal will go on a city tour to know the condition of the devotees. Shri Mahakaleshwar will appear in the form of Shri Chandramouliswara in the palanquin, Shri Manmohan on Gajraj, Shri Shiv Tandava idol on Garuda Rath, Shri Uma-Mahesh Ji on Nandi Rath.

The Lord's palanquin will be worshipped in the Sabha Mandap of the temple. The Lord seated in the palanquin will be saluted by the armed police force personnel at the main entrance of the temple.

Mounted police team, armed police force, home guard personnel, Bhajan Mandali, members of Jhanj Mandali and police band will also accompany the procession.

Earlier, 2.5 lakh devotees had arrived on the first Monday of Shravan month, and more than 3 lakh on the second. 4 lakh people had arrived on the third Monday.
