Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 30-year-old woman love-trapped a 61-year-old man, recorded obscene videos and allegedly extorted about ₹24 lakh from him by threatening to make them viral.

The incident was reported in Indore's Kanadiya police station area where the victim sought help of the police, after which the woman was arrested. The police have sealed her bank accounts and put a hold on ₹19 lakh.

According to the police, on May 22, Madan Singh (61), resident of village Bichauli Mardana, lodged a complaint at the police station. He told that a person named Vineet Jain runs a grocery store on rent at his shop, where the accused woman used to work as an employee. While coming and going to the store, the woman attracted him and a conversation started.

Woman recorded obscene videos

According to the victim, in December 2023, the woman convinced him to visit Ujjain and both of them reached Ujjain in his own car. There, staying in a hotel, the woman secretly recorded obscene photos and videos.

After this, the woman started blackmailing the elderly by showing photos and videos. She kept threatening to make the video viral and under this pressure, the victim gave her about ₹24 lakh in two years. Fed up with blackmailing, he finally lodged a complaint with the police.

Woman arrested, ₹19 lakh frozen

Police station in-charge Saharsh Yadav said that in the investigation, all the facts told by the victim were found to be correct. On this basis, the woman has been arrested.

During interrogation, she confessed to the crime. The police have frozen her bank accounts and put ₹19 lakh on hold. A detailed investigation of the case is being done.

Involved in rape case

Police investigation also revealed that the accused woman had earlier also registered a rape case against a youth in Kanadiya police station, but later changed her statement in the court and retracted from the case. Investigation of that case is also going on.

Targets men from affluent families

In the preliminary investigation, the police has also got information that the woman used to target men with affluent and family image in a planned manner.

In this case too, the social and economic status of the victim was good, that is why the woman targeted him. The police is now also investigating whether the woman has trapped other people in this way.
