Keshav’s family members said that he had a love marriage with Khushi about one and a half years ago. She had been pressuring him to leave his parental home and purchase a new property in her name so that they could live separately.
The accused allegedly harassed and threatened Keshav, saying that since Khushi was pregnant, he must register his Bhagirathpura house in her name, or else they would have him killed.
Keshav was reportedly deeply disturbed and fearful due to these threats from his in-laws.
Khushi alias Hema made her brother, Chetan Bhadkare, call Keshav from Delhi to abuse and threaten him. He demanded Rs. 7 lakh, allegedly spent on Hema’s wedding and threatened to falsely implicate Keshav in a dowry case.
Unable to cope with the harassment, Keshav ultimately ended his life.
