Shocker! Reckless SUV Driver Runs Over Two Girls Making Diwali Rangoli Outside Home In Indore; CCTV Footage Surfaces
Additional DCP Alok Kumar Sharma said that the injured girls have been identified as Priyanshi (21), daughter of Pawan Prajapat, and Navya (13), daughter of Anand Prajapat.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A recklessly driven SUV ran over two girls making rangoli outside their homes, before crashing into a shop in Indore on Monday evening. The incident occurred around 5:30 pm in Jai Bhawani Nagar under Aerodrome police station limits.
The girls were aged 13 and 21 years.
One of the girls was severely injured. CCTV cameras near the spot captured the entire incident; showing the girls sitting outside their houses making rangoli for Diwali when the speeding SUV struck them and then crashing into a shop.

Locals rushed to rescue the girls and sent them to the hospital, where one is said to be in critical condition. Agitated by the incident, people vandalised the SUV and demanded strict action against the driver.
They claimed that liquor bottles were inside the vehicle and also alleged that earlier in the day, the driver was driving on the same road recklessly. The driver fled the scene after the accident.

Navya's grandfather Jagdish Prajapat told Free Press that Navya is a Class VIIII student, while Priyanshi is a nursing student. Both families, who had been preparing for Diwali, are devastated. Navya sustained a hand fracture and head injuries. Navya's uncle Sonu said that she has not regained consciousness and is in critical condition.

According to the girl's family, the errant driver is a resident of Hukumchand Colony and he was heading to Raj Nagar via Jai Bhawani Nagar to his uncle's grocery shop.
