Indore: Massive Fire Breaks Out Near MG Showroom On AB Road; Furniture Godown Gutted, Vehicles Damaged

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A major fire broke out late Wednesday night in a building near the MG showroom on AB Road, causing extensive damage to property. Two brand-new cars and a bike were partially engulfed in flames, while a furniture godown was gutted in the incident.
The fire erupted around 10:30 PM, allegedly due to a short circuit in a wire outside the building. The flames quickly spread, leading to a massive blaze that required urgent intervention from the fire department.
Eyewitness Sahil Khan recounted the dramatic sequence of events, stating that just before the incident, a minor accident occurred on AB Road, in which a girl sustained injuries on her forehead.
As a crowd gathered to assist her, an electrical wire outside the building began sparking. "I had also stopped to check on the accident when I noticed the wire emitting sparks. Soon, burning ashes fell on nearby tree leaves, igniting them. Within moments, the flames spread rapidly to the furniture godown, and the entire area was engulfed in fire," Sahil said. The fire department was immediately alerted, and as many as ten fire trucks along with more than twenty firefighters were deployed to control the blaze. Firefighters managed to douse the fire by midnight.
Senior officials stated that the exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and a detailed investigation has been ordered. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, but the financial losses due to the destruction of vehicles and furniture stock are estimated to be significant.
Authorities have urged building owners and commercial establishments in the area to ensure proper fire safety measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
