Indore Man Murders Wife, Takes Her To Hospital To Mislead Police; Detained
Accused coached his seven-year-old son on what to tell the police and others but he narrated the entire incident to the police on being asked

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A man allegedly strangled his 40-year-old wife to death and then trying to feign ignorance, took her to the hospital himself to mislead the police, an official said on Tuesday. He even taught his seven-year-old son, who was present at the time of the incident, what to tell the police and others.
The incident occurred late on Monday night under Lasudia police station limits. The police received information at around 4:30 AM from the hospital.
Later, when the cops questioned the husband and gently asked the boy about the incident, it came out that the man had strangled the woman with a saree.
According to the police, the deceased was identified as Sheela Bai, wife of Madan, a resident of Gyanshila Township. DCP (Zone-2) Abhinay Vishwakarma said, “The woman’s husband, who is a security guard, is addicted to alcohol. On Monday, he had a dispute with his wife over his drinking habit. The woman, who worked as a labourer, did not receive her daily wage that day, which further fuelled her husband’s anger and led to a domestic dispute.
The neighbours reportedly heard the argument at around 10 PM. Later, the husband took his wife to the hospital in the wee hours of Tuesday, claiming that something had happened to her.
However, she was declared dead. The police received information at around 4:30 AM and became suspicious as the woman had strangulation marks on her neck. Their son, who was present in the house at the time of the incident, had been coached by his father about what to tell the police. However, when officers gently questioned the boy, he narrated the entire incident.
On further questioning, the husband also allegedly confessed to the murder. The police have detained the accused and are awaiting the short post-mortem examination report to register a case.
