Indore: Man Loses Battle For Life After 20-Day Struggle

The incident occurred near Narsingh Vatika on Aerodrome Road on April 4.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 43-year-old man, who was injured after a tree fell on his family on April 4 succumbed to his injuries at the hospital on Thursday after 20 days of struggle in the hospital.

The incident occurred near Narsingh Vatika on Aerodrome Road on April 4. The deceased has been identified as Santosh Bokre (43), a resident of Jai Ambe Nagar. Santosh’s wife, Kavita, died due to severe injuries caused by the falling tree. Their son, Pradyumn, was also injured.

The couple was returning with their sons on a bike after visiting Bijasan Mata Temple during Navratri when the tree fell on their moving bike and the woman died after struggling for a few hours while the husband was undergoing treatment.

Condition worsened after spine surgery

Family members said that Santosh had suffered a spinal injury due to the tree fall. After undergoing spinal surgery, doctors had advised discharge on Sunday.

However, due to lack of a proper bed setup at home, the family requested to postpone the discharge to Monday. Unfortunately, Santosh’s condition worsened suddenly on Sunday and he was put on a ventilator. He died during treatment on Thursday evening.
