Indore (Madhya Pradesh): While members of Self-Finance Non-Teaching Employees Association are already on indefinite strike over non-fulfilment of their 14-point charter of demands, two more associations on Wednesday put forth their demands before DAVV authorities, with one of them also threatening to go on strike.
A delegation of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya Employee (Non-Teaching) Association led by president Chain Singh Yadav and handed over a demand letter to vice chancellor Prof Rakesh Singhai and incharge registrar Prajwal Khare on Wednesday.
The letter carried a 21-point charter of demands with a threat that association members would go on strike if their demands were not met.
After that, a delegation of Bharatiya Majdoor Sangh, of which those self-finance employees are members who were not regularised in 2018, led by president Mahesh Verma submitted a letter requesting their regularisation from 2018. The letter states that contractual employees, who were not given permanent posting in 2018, should be regularised from the same year as per government guidelines.
Meanwhile, the indefinite strike by self-finance employees continued on Wednesday as well, even after the university authorities sent feelers that most of their demands would be met.
