Indore: Chandan Nagar Square To Get Over-Bridge Soon

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav directed officials to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) based on the feasibility study for the proposed overbridge at Chandan Nagar Square (Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad Square). He also instructed them to complete all necessary technical surveys and processes promptly.

On Saturday, the mayor inspected the site of the proposed overbridge, connecting Sirpur Road to the district hospital. The inspection began at the district hospital and extended to Dhar Road.

In an effort to provide a permanent solution to traffic congestion in the city's western parts and to enhance connectivity, the mayor emphasised the urgent need for the overbridge.

During the inspection, a new road project connecting the Western Ring Road to the Airport was also reviewed. The mayor informed that tenders for this project would be issued within a day or two.

He further appealed to local citizens to voluntarily remove any encroachments and become active participants in the city's development journey.

Overbridge will reduce traffic pressure

Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav said "We had announced this in the budget. Our goal is to reduce traffic pressure and ensure smooth movement for citizens. The overbridge will be a major gift for the Chandan Nagar and Dhar Road areas. I have directed the officials to complete all technical preparations at the earliest."
