Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Rau police booked a truck driver for embezzling goods of Flipkart, an official said on Tuesday. The driver was assigned to transport the consignment to Ahmedabad in Gujarat but mid-way, he allegedly stole goods worth about Rs 1 lakh from the truck.
Additional DCP Alok Kumar Sharma said that Ravi Shekhar Singh of Flipkart lodged a complaint stating that the truck driver Rajesh was assigned to pick up the consignment from their godown in Rau and to deliver it in Ahmedabad. During the journey, the driver stole goods worth Rs 1 lakh on the pretext of changing the vehicle.
Later, when the consignment reached its destination, some of the goods were found missing. The police registered a case against the accused for embezzlement of goods under relevant sections of BNS and further investigation is underway.
