Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In a crackdown on drug traf-ficking, the Crime Branch on Tuesday arrested two people each from two separate places and recovered MD drugs, vehicles, and mobile phones, all worth Rs 1 crore. The men have allegedly confessed to supplying drugs in the city.
DCP (crime) Rajesh Kumar Tripathi told media persons that acting on a tip-off, two men on a bike were arrested after cordoning off the area. They were identified as Ahmad Shah, a resident of Pratapgarh in Rajasthan, and Pappu Saroga, a resident of Mandsaur.
About 154 grams of MD drugs were recovered from them. They allegedly confessed that they would bring the drugs cheaply from Rajasthan and sell them at a higher price in the city. They were booked under Section 8/22 of the NDPS Act.
The police seized their bike and two mobile phones. In the second action, the Crime Branch team received information that two men ina car would deliver drugs to someone near the MR-10 Bridge. The team managed to arrest two persons, Hariom Jha, a resident of Dwarka in New Delhi, and Lakhsya Singh Rajput of Rajasthan.
Jha alleg edly said he worked as a salesman for a company while Rajput was employed with a liquor contractor in Jaipur. Their car, 36 grams of MD drugs, and mobile phones were recovered from them.

According to the police, one of the accused confessed to being an addict and that he bought drugs from a Nigerian native in Delhi to supply in Indore and Jaipur.
The accused are in police remand and are being questioned about their aides. Police believe that more people would be arrested in connection with the same. They are also gathering information about local drug peddlers associated with the accused.
In the first case, the drugs were brought from Rajasthan at a cheap price and sold at a higher price in the city. In the second case, the drugs were sourced from a Nigerian native in Delhi and supplied in Indore and Jaipur.
