Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Three men were arrested in the Azad Nagar area for carrying MDMA, an illegal drug, police said on Friday. They said two of them had come to hand over the drugs to the third man. The men are on a two-day police remand and are being interrogated about their source and also possible accomplices.
DCP (zone-1) Vinod Kumar Meena said a team led by ACP Karandeep Singh and Azad Nagar police station in-charge Vijay Sisodiya caught the three men from the New RTO Road on Thursday. The accused also tried to flee from there on seeing the police.
During a search, about 70 grams of MDMA, valued at Rs 50 lakh in the international market, was recovered from them. The accused have been identified as Javed Khan, a resident of Jhalawar (Rajasthan), Wasim Khan of Agar Malwa and Suresh Bhide, a resident of Kukshi in Dhar district.
