Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Farmers in the district can now apply online to benefit from the Integrated Horticulture Development Mission Scheme for the year 2025–26.
The Directorate of Horticulture and Food Processing, Bhopal, has assigned various targets to Indore district aimed at expanding the cultivation of fruits, vegetables, flowers, and spices.
Under the fruit cultivation expansion, farmers can grow selected crops like dragon fruit (drip-free), mango, guava, litchi, and pomegranate. For vegetables, the scheme supports expansion of citrus fruits (normal spacing, high-density, and very high-density plantation with drip-free options), hybrid vegetables, and onion and garlic.
In addition, the mission also promotes flower cultivation, including cut flowers, bulbous flowers, and loose flowers. There’s also a focus on spice crops like ginger, turmeric, and garlic, encouraging farmers to expand their area under spice cultivation.
Farmers interested in availing the benefits of this scheme must register and apply online through the department’s portal: mpfsts.mp.gov.in. Under the Integrated Horticulture Development Mission Scheme Directorate of Horticulture and Food Processing Bhopal has allocated various tasks for the year 2025-26 to the district. The task of expansion of cultivation of various fruits, vegetables and flowers is given.
Under the expansion of fruits cultivation selected fruits are dragon fruit (drip free), mango, guava, litchi, pomegranate are selected. Under the vegetable area expansion the selected vegetables are citrus (normal distance, high density and very high density drip free), hybrid vegetable area expansion (hybrid), onion and garlic area expansion.
Similarly, under flower area expansion-cut flower, bulbous flower, loose flower are selected. There is target to expand the area of cultivation of spices also, that includes ginger turmeric garlic. Farmers who want to take advantage of the said scheme can register and apply on the department's portal mpfsts portal.
