Dhar (Madhya Pradesh): The two-day Nav Sankalp camp of Madhya Pradesh Congress in Mandav, Dhar district, concluded on Tuesday. Before closing, all MLAs and leaders took oath on the Constitution's Preamble. Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar spoke to media about the camp.
Singhar called this "not the end, but the beginning" of a new resolution. The camp gave a clear message that Congress thinks about the future, not just the past. He said Congress has resolved to change Madhya Pradesh's fate from the historic land of Mandav.
Congress promised to fight corruption, give farmers income rights, ensure 27% OBC reservation, support youth employment and startups, protect rights of Dalits-tribals and underprivileged classes, and make women's safety a top priority.
Singhar said they are ready to fight and win. The camp brought new energy and clear strategy among MLAs. This marks the beginning of Congress's ideological rethinking, which will continue through dialogue and public campaigns across the state.
Singhar thanked All India Congress Committee for constant support. He praised guidance from Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, KC Venugopal, Harish Chaudhary and support from Jitu Patwari. All Congress MLAs attended with full sincerity.
Congress MLAs were divided into six groups of 10 each to discuss major public issues including caste census, 27% OBC reservation, Forest Rights Act and PESA Act, tribal rights, organisation creation campaign, Congress grassroots expansion, self-help groups, NGOs, cooperatives, social service networks, and Madhya Pradesh Congress strategy.
Singhar directly targeted BJP, saying they are nervous due to Nav Sankalp camp's success. He said Congress took Jan Sankalp in Mandav, not celebrating honeymoon in Panchmarhi like BJP. BJP fears Congress will expose their corruption, failed schemes and anti-people decisions in the upcoming Assembly session.
Congress prepared an internal strategic document during the camp which will guide political strategies, public relations campaigns and organisational expansion. The party resolved to establish dialogue with every person, fight for rights of farmers, labourers, youth, women, Dalits and tribals, implement Telangana model across Madhya Pradesh, enforce Forest Rights Law and PESA Act provisions, bring together all society sections and create organisation campaigns.
