22 Pak Citizens Possessing ‘Long Term’ Visa Reside In Ujjain District

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): A total of 22 Pakistani citizens are present in Ujjain district, who have long term visas. Different types of visas are provided by the government of India to citizens of all countries including tourist, medical, short term and long term visas.

A total of 27 tourists have been killed in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Numerous steps have been taken by the Union government to teach a tough lesson to Pakistan harbouring terrorists including abrogation of Indus water agreement, closure of Wagah border.

Besides, Pakistani citizens in India were also directed to leave the country and return to Pakistan within 48 hours. Most of the Pakistani citizens who had arrived in India on tourist visas through various means are continuing to return.

On the other hand, the Ministry of External Affairs has issued a letter to the police chiefs of all states of the country asking them to identify the Pakistanis who arrived in their states on various visas and ensure that they are sent back.

According to information received from police, four Pakistani nationals are present in Chimanganj Mandi police station area, four in Mahidpur, Badnagar and other police station areas of the district. However, these people have long term visas.

The Union government has not yet issued any instructions on this type of visa. If directives are received from the government, deportation action may be taken.  According to SP Pradeep Sharma, as per the instructions received from the Ministry of External Affairs, the presence of Pakistani nationals in the district is being checked.

We currently have information about 22 people who have long-term visas. All police officers of the district have been directed to collect information of Pakistani citizens on tourist, medical and short term visas. Besides, 22 people are also being checked, he said.

MP Anil Firojiya Reaches SP, Passport Office

On the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, Ujjain MP Anil Firojiya on Saturday reached SP office and Passport office and received the order of the Government of India to expel all citizens from Pakistan by April.

He also enquired that how many Pakistani citizens have come with visas and how many have been sent out of the country. He directed the Government of India and the State government to provide continuous information on the implementation of the order. City BJP president Sanjay Agrawal was also present.
