Yogi Adityanath To Virtually Inaugurate BJP’s Mock Parliament In Kanpur On June 27

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will virtually inaugurate the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Mock Parliament in Kanpur on June 27. The event, focusing on the 50th anniversary of the Emergency, will also see the presence of BJP State President Bhupendra Chaudhary and National Secretary Om Prakash Dhankar as chief guest. The Mock Parliament will be held at Pramila Auditorium.

The BJP is organizing similar events across all 17 of its organizational districts on June 25 to inform the public about the "dark chapter" of the Emergency, imposed on June 25, 1975, by then PM Indira Gandhi.

Through seminars and exhibitions, the party aims to highlight the atrocities, media censorship, and arrests of opposition leaders during that period.

In Kanpur and Jhansi, the Mock Parliament will be organized by the Yuva Morcha and Mahila Morcha on June 27, running from 10 AM to 7 PM. Participants, will role-play as treasury and opposition members to showcase democratic dialogue.
