Moradabad: It has become a trend on social media to post abusive and obscene content just to gain followers. Days after taking Sambhal content creators Mehak and Pari into custody for sharing indecent content, the Uttar Pradesh police on Friday arrested YouTuber Mohammed Amir in Moradabad for allegedly using abusive language in his content, wearing clothes resembling that of saints.

It had been alleged that the YouTuber was using derogatory language and creating abusive content on his YouTube channel, reported R Bharat. The action was reportedly taken against Aamir on the complaint filed by a person named Aman Thakur.

Thakur alleged that in one of his videos, Amir was seen in the attire of a saint and using abusive language.

Who Is YouTuber Mohammed Amir?

Amir is a resident of Moradabad's Pakbada town. The YouTuber also has around five million followers on Instagram. He has around 50 lakh followers on his YouTube channel "Top Real Team (TRT)". He was arrested and sent to police custody.

Statement By Moradabad Police:

"A complaint was filed against YouTuber Mohammad Amir at the Pakbada police station in Moradabad. Amir was constantly uploading objectionable, provocative and insulting videos on his channel. The investigation found that Amir had indeed posted such videos, which spread confusion and hatred in society. Amir has been arrested after an investigation," the police said in a statement.

The police are also reviewing Amir's other videos. The police also warned other content creators to stop posting abusive and obscene videos on their social media. The force warned of strenuous action against such content creators.

Earlier this month, Instagram influencers Mehak and Pari (Mehrul Nisa) were arrested for allegedly creating and circulating obscene content online.
