Pramanik shown black flags
This incident comes on the heels of an agitation a week earlier by TMC workers led by state minister Udayan Guha near the house of the Union Minister over the Border Security Force allegedly killing a Rajbangsi boy.
Pramanik who visited the house of BJP workers was initially shown black flag along with ‘Go back’ slogan.
“The TMC workers tried to disrupt peace in the area. I will not leave the area and my party workers but will take the bullet on my chest. The police are mere spectators and are protecting the miscreants,” Pramanik alleged.
The alleged miscreants were brought by the BJP leader, Guha countered. TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh also said that the party was not involved in the ruckus.
“The people’s reaction led to the violence. Does the BJP think that the common people will spare the saffron camp? The BJP is trying to malign TMC over the violence,” said Ghosh.
Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari went to meet Governor CV Ananda Bose to complain about the attack on the Union Minister’s convoy.
