Meerut: A shocking incident surfaced from Uttar Pradesh's Meerut, where a 'drunk' man drove his car on a platform of the Meerut Cantt railway station. The incident was recorded on camera, and the video surfaced online on Friday.
The exact date of the incident is not known. The viral video shows the man suddenly reaching the platform on his car. Notably, the train was standing on the platform at the time of the incident. The car went very close to the departing train.

Notably, as soon as the passengers saw the car on the platform, they panicked, and it led to chaos at the platform. The driver of the car was confronted by the people present at the platform. In the video, it could be seen that the car was still at the platform even after the train left the station. The car has a Jharkhand number plate.
Soon, the video went viral on social media. The motive of the person who drove the car close to the train is also not known. After the video went viral, the driver of the car has been taken into custody by GRP Moradabad. He has been questioned by the police.
"In connection with the aforementioned case, the GRP and RPF Meerut City have taken the said youth into police custody, registered a case, and are proceeding with further legal action as per the rules.," SP GRP Moradabad said in an X post.
As per the police, the accused was under the influence of alcohol. His car has ben seized.

The incident exposed loopholes in the security arrangements at railways station in the country. Netizens are slamming authorities.
One of the X users said, "Like always, RPF nowhere to be found. This could've been a terrorist attack, but who cares."
"It should be pushed off the railway line with force," another user commented.
A similar incident took place last month, when a drunk man drove his car onto Gwalior’s railway platform in an attempt to ‘race’ with a train. The man was identified as 34-year-old Nitin Rathore, hailing from Adityapuram. As soon as Railway Protection Force (RPF) officers noticed the man, they stopped the car and detained the man. The vehicle was seized, and Nitin was booked under Section 153 of the Indian Railways Act.
