VIDEO: Hardoi's Ariba Khan Justifies Pointing Pistol At Petrol Pump Worker After Heated Argument

According to Ariba, the petrol pump worker was drunk; they pushed her father, Ehsan Khan and verbally abused him. She said it felt like they would kill Ariba and her father.

Ariba Khan, whose video pointing a revolver at a petrol pump attendant had gone viral, has issued a clarification justifying her move. Khan, speaking to Aaj Tak, said that the petrol pump worker had misbehaved with her senior citizen father and pushed him, so she had pointed the revolver at him in self-defence. Ariba admitted that pointing the revolver was her mistake and an illegal move.

According to Ariba, the petrol pump worker was drunk, they pushed her father, Ehsan Khan and verbally abused him. She said it felt like they would kill Ariba and her father.

She said, after she took out a revolver and pointed it at the petrol pump, after which the matter settled down. She said, she called the police and they came and saved Ariba, her father and her mother.

According to reports, Ehsan Khan, a resident of Shahabad, had arrived at the petrol pump with his wife and daughter, Ariba Khan, on Sunday to refuel his vehicle. While getting the CNG filled, a verbal altercation broke out between Ehsan Khan and a pump employee named Rajneesh Kumar over an unspecified issue. The heated exchange quickly escalated, leading the staffer allegedly pushing Ehsan on the chest, which was captured on camera.

The viral video shows his daughter, visibly enraged after witnessing her father being shoved, running to the car, retrieving a revolver and pointing it directly at the employee’s chest. Bystanders at the scene intervened promptly, de-escalating the situation before any shots were fired. Reports quoting eyewitnesses claim the girl shouted threats at the employee, reportedly saying, "Itni goliyaan maroongi ki ghar wale bhi pehchanne se mana kar denge"(I will shoot so many bullets that even your family won’t be able to identify your body).

Police Action

Following the incident, the petrol pump staffer Rajneesh Kumar filed a formal complaint at the Kotwali police station. An FIR was registered against Ehsan Khan, his wife Husnbano and daughter Ariba Khan. The charges include sections under the Arms Act and for issuing criminal threats, reported Dainik Bhaskar.

Bilgram police station in-charge Rakesh Kumar confirmed that a case has been lodged and that the revolver used in the incident has been seized. He added that further investigation is underway.
