Video: Elderly Man Killed After Drunk BMW Driver Rams Into Scooter In Gujarat's Gandhi Nagar

A man died when a speeding BMW struck his scooter at a Gandhinagar intersection on Thursday morning. CCTV footage of the incident has since emerged online. According to reports, the car driver was intoxicated at the time of the collision. The footage shows the speeding BMW hitting the scooter before crashing into a tree while attempting to turn at the intersection.

The impact was so severe that the middle-aged scooter rider sustained fatal injuries and died instantly.

Witnesses at the scene reported the BMW driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. These accounts have prompted authorities to initiate a thorough investigation.

Police have begun legal proceedings against the driver, who remains hospitalised. Investigators are reviewing witness statements and CCTV footage as part of their inquiry.

The deceased has been identified as a Gandhinagar resident. The BMW driver sustained serious injuries in the crash and was admitted to Gandhinagar Civil Hospital for treatment.
