Video: 75-Year-Old Man Suffers Heart Attack During Check-Up At Agra Clinic
The patient received a temporary pacemaker immediately, followed by a permanent pacemaker the next day. He has since recovered and been discharged.

A 75-year-old man in Agra narrowly escaped death when he collapsed during a doctor's consultation. The patient, who had been experiencing dizziness and temporary vision blackouts, lost consciousness while describing his symptoms. Dr Himanshu Yadav, who shared the incident on Facebook, revealed that immediate CPR administered within 10 seconds revived the patient.
The senior citizen had previously consulted multiple doctors without a definitive diagnosis. Medical investigations later confirmed complete heart block, a condition where the heart’s electrical system fails, disrupting blood flow and oxygen supply to the brain. This explained his recurrent blackouts.
Dr Yadav clarified that while the episode resembled a heart attack, it was instead a cardiac electrical failure. The patient received a temporary pacemaker immediately, followed by a permanent pacemaker the next day. He has since recovered and been discharged.
The doctor emphasised that such cases can be fatal if untreated, as the brain and heart are deprived of oxygen. However, timely intervention—as demonstrated here—can save lives. CCTV footage from the clinic captured the entire incident, highlighting the critical importance of rapid medical response.
This case underscores the need for awareness about heart block symptoms, particularly among elderly patients experiencing unexplained dizziness or fainting spells.
