A 60-year-old government orderly has been suspended following serious allegations of sexual harassment against a 22-year-old female student.

According to reports, Harivansh Shukla, an orderly at the Additional Sub-District Magistrate's office, allegedly lured the victim to his government quarters under false promises of securing her employment. The incident occurred at Officers' Colony, Chetna Park, located just 200 meters from the Civil Line police outpost.

Two videos related to the case have gone viral on social media. In one 1-minute 36-second clip, Shukla is seen in a semi-nude state, inappropriately touching the woman and attempting to forcibly remove her clothing while she visibly struggles to free herself.

The victim, a resident of Parshadpur police station area, revealed she first met Shukla a month ago while submitting a job application at the Collectorate. "The accused had been troubling me for the past 4-5 days," she stated. "He called me to his quarters under the guise of helping me get a job. At knifepoint, he tried to force me to remove my clothes."

The woman described how Shukla locked the room, brandished a knife, and threatened her. "To save myself, I secretly recorded a video," she explained. "Later, he threatened to kill my entire family if I spoke up."

District Magistrate Neha Sharma has suspended the accused and sealed his records. The investigation has been assigned to the Additional District Magistrate. Initially, the victim had denied the incident in an affidavit but later came forward demanding justice.

Shukla, originally from Hardoi district and due to retire in five months, allegedly has a history of similar misconduct. The victim alleged that he has previously trapped several girls with false job promises, highlighting a pattern of predatory behavior that authorities are now investigating.
