Bareilly: Over the past three days, Bareilly's Mayor, Dr. Umesh Gautam, received rakhis from 20,000 women in a record-breaking gesture of community support. The unique event, which also saw his son Parth Gautam participate, culminated in a gathering at the city stadium where women lined up to tie rakhis on the mayor's hands.

The mayor declared that from now on, he would be responsible for the well-being of all his "sisters."

The events were held at multiple locations, including his camp office and various banquet halls, to accommodate the large number of participants. The mayor was emotional upon hearing stories from women who had no brothers and saw him as their own. He expressed his gratitude for their blessings and said he was now the proud "Umesh Bhaiya" for thousands of families.
