Hapur: A woman was brutally assaulted in broad daylight by a drunken man in Hapur on Thursday, July 17, after she objected to his abusive language. The incident, which took place in Mohalla Ardshanagar, was caught on camera and has now gone viral on social media.

Assault Was Shot On Camera

According to police sources as quoted by Dainik Bhaskar, the incident occurred on Thursday afternoon. Despite the assault unfolding in full view of the public, no one initially stepped in to stop the man. The woman, visibly shaken, endured 20 slaps in 15 seconds as the man continued his violent outburst.

The inaction of the bystanders appeared to embolden the accused further. “People standing around did not try to save the woman,” officials said, adding that the man went on to “beat her mercilessly.” It wasn’t until one person finally stepped in and pushed the youth away that the situation de-escalated.

Once the attacker was pushed away, the woman retaliated by hitting him with her slippers and kicking him after he fell onto the road.

Police Registers Complaint

The woman later approached the local police station to file a formal complaint. She was then sent for medical treatment.

Circle Officer Jitendra Kumar Sharma told Dainik Bhasker that a complaint has been registered and assured that appropriate action will be taken. “The woman is undergoing medical treatment. Action will be taken against the man on the basis of the complaint,” he said.
