UP: Man Arranges Wife's Marriage With Lover In Jaunpur 2 Years After Wedding (Video)
Matters escalated when she warned that she might take drastic steps if forced to remain in the marriage.
A man from Jaunpur chose dignity over discord by arranging his wife’s wedding to her longtime lover at a temple, bringing an amicable end to their troubled marriage.
The couple had wed two years ago in a traditional ceremony in Khata Sarai, but the bride’s heart lay elsewhere, she had been in love with another man, Yashwant Bind, even before her marriage. After the wedding, she rarely stayed with her husband’s family, eventually leaving under the pretext of visiting her parents and eloping with Bind.
Despite the betrayal, the husband, whose name has not been disclosed, remained composed. Hoping to salvage the relationship, he persuaded his wife to return and even brought her to Noida, where he works. However, tensions persisted as she continued speaking to Bind and outright refused to stay with her husband or in-laws. Matters escalated when she warned that she might take drastic steps if forced to remain in the marriage.
Faced with this impasse, the husband made a radical decision: rather than cling to a loveless union, he resolved to end it with grace. He returned to Jaunpur with his wife, invited Bind to Durga Temple, and after discussions, presided over their wedding. In a poignant ceremony captured on video, Bind applied sindoor (vermilion) to the bride’s forehead as her former husband stood silently before blessing the couple.
The video, now viral on social media, has sparked widespread discussion. Speaking to the media, the husband explained, “I hoped our marriage would work, but when I realised her heart belonged to someone else, I chose a path that honoured everyone’s happiness. I didn’t want to force her to stay. Now, they can live as they wish—I bless them.”
