UP: Ghaziabad Woman Arrested For Making False Gang-Rape Allegations Against Husband And His Friends
In June last year, she claimed that Vikas Tyagi, a resident of Ghaziabad's Kavi Nagar, established a physical relationship with her after promising that he would marry her.

A woman, who accused her husband and his friend of gang rape, was arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad after police found her allegations false after she changed her statements several times in previous cases. The woman was in a live-in relationship with the man before marrying him.
According to reports, her husband is locked in jail in one of the cases filed by her.
According to an NDTV report, the woman lodged three FIRs and changed her statements several times. Once she even filed an application seeking withdrawal of her complaints.
In her last FIR, she made serious allegations stating she was gang-raped by her husband's friends and a bottle had been inserted in her private parts. However, police found charges made by her false and arrested her on Friday.
In June last year, she claimed that Vikas Tyagi, a resident of Ghaziabad's Kavi Nagar, established a physical relationship with her after promising that he would marry her. At that time, she was in a live-in relationship with Vikas. She also accused him of causing her miscarriage because Vikas assaulted her and kicked her in the stomach. Later she changed her statement before the judicial magistrate and said that they had sex with mutual consent and she suffered a miscarriage because she had not followed her doctor's advice.
In August, the woman told police she had changed her June statement under threats from Tyagi, his brother-in-law, and a friend. Later that month, she applied to halt action, stating she had married Tyagi.
In January, she filed an FIR, accusing Tyagi of an incomplete wedding, rape, assault, and an attempt to burn her. She later alleged gang rape by him and two friends. While the gang-rape claims were false, her medical report confirmed burn injuries. Tyagi was arrested on February 17.
On Tuesday, she claimed Tyagi’s friends kidnapped, drugged, and raped her, inserting a bottle in her private parts before dumping her. However, CCTV footage showed her leaving home, getting into a car, and returning normally. Call records proved the accused were elsewhere.
Police found the allegations false, and Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Singh suggested a possible motive linked to Tyagi’s flat. The woman has been arrested.
