UP Crime: Female BA student shot dead by 2 youths in broad daylight in Jalaun; visuals surface
According to Roshni's family, known people might have committed the act.

In a shocking incident a girl student was shot dead in the crowded market of Jalaun district in Uttar Pradesh on Monday afternoon. The girl was returning home after appearing in the BA second year at a local college. The sister of the deceased has lodged an FIR against a youth who was known to her. The youth Raj was following the girl for some time and mounting pressure for marriage. When the girl denied, he shot her on Monday.
Late on Monday night Jalaun police arrest main accused Raj from a hideout. However when police was taking him police station, he tried to escape after snatching the revolver of station house officer. He was injured when police tried to overpower him and fired.
According to Jalaun police, Roshni Ahirwar aged 20 years belonged to Aindha village and was a student of BA second year in Ram Lakhan Patel Degree College of the city. While she was returning from college on Monday afternoon after appearing in the examination, she was stopped by two bike borne youths at Kotra crossing in Jalaun city. One of the youths opened fire at her from a country-made revolver. The youths fled from the spot throwing weapon and are yet to be arrested. Police have registered an FIR on the basis of the complaint of the sister of the deceased. The incident occurred in a market which was hardly 200 meters away from the city police station.
Man Singh, father of the deceased said that his son had dropped her at the college gate in the morning. After the exam the deceased had called home and informed about her coming back. The elder sister of Roshni informed police that a local youth named Raj was after her and mounting pressure for marriage. Raj had threatened Roshni to kill if she did not marry him.
Superintendent of Police, Jalaun, Eraj Raja informed that vital clues regarding this murder have been found and very soon the accused would be behind bars.
The Rashtriya Janata Dal used the opportunity to hit out at the UP government. "Will the wolves of Godi media and the BJP also celebrate this death?" the party wrote in the caption, in an indirect attack on those celebrating the murder of Atiq's murder on Live TV.
