TMC Nominates Abhishek Banerjee Replaces Yusuf Pathan In All-Party Delegation On Global Anti-Terror Outreach (VIDEO)

Kolkata: Trinamool Congress (TMC) national secretary Abhishek Banerjee replaces cricketer-turned-politician Yusuf Pathan to represent TMC in the all-party delegation for India’s global outreach against terrorism.
According to party leader Kunal Ghosh, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju had called Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee following which the Chief Minister had decided to send Abhishek to represent TMC in the all -party delegation.
“The central government had done wrong by contacting the Parliamentarian directly instead of contacting the party. After Rijiju called it was decided that Abhishek Banerjee, party’s national secretary will be part of the delegation,” said Ghosh.

“At a time when the world must unite to confront the growing threat of terrorism, Shri Abhishek Banerjee’s inclusion brings both conviction and clarity to the table. His presence will not only reflect Bengal’s firm stand against terror but also strengthen India’s collective voice on the global stage,” posted TMC on X.

Notably, on Monday Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had expressed her ‘displeasure’ over selecting TMC MP Yusuf Pathan part of the delegation from TMC without informing the party.
Meanwhile, a delegation of TMC to visit Srinagar, Poonch, and Rajouri to express solidarity with the people affected by cross-border attacks.
“TMC had separately planned to send a delegation to Srinagar, Poonch and Rajouri so that they can visit the affected people in cross border attacks,” said TMC leader Kunal Ghosh.
BJP Rajya Sabha MP and spokesperson Shamik Bhattacharya said, “Instead of political tourism, TMC should first send the team in Murshidabad and even Bikash Bhawan to meet the affected jobless teachers.”
On the other hand, amid ongoing ‘Operation Sindoor’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Alipurduar in North Bengal on May 29.
