Telangana CPI Leader K Chandu Naik Shot Dead In Hyderabad's Malakpet By Unidentified Assailants

A CPI leader was allegedly shot dead by unidentified persons in Telangana's Hyderabad on Tuesday morning.

Hyderabad: A CPI leader was allegedly shot dead by unidentified persons in Telangana's Hyderabad in broad daylight on Tuesday morning. The incident took place in the Malakpet area of the city. The deceased has been identified as K Chandu Naik (47).

Naik was a state council member of the Communist Party of India. The CPI leader was attacked by armed assailants when he was on a morning walk near a park. They fired multiple bullets.

The CPI leader died on the spot. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot. Three to four assailants came in a car. They threw chilli powder into the victim's eyes so that he could not flee, reported Siasat Daily.

The accused fled from the spot. Naik's wife claimed that he had a long-standing feud with a man named Rajesh, reported the media house. Notably, Rajesh is reportedly also associated with the CPI (ML).

Naik's murder has created panic among the residents. The police have started an investigation into the murder. No one has been arrested so far in connection with the murder.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, Congress SC Cell leader Marrelli Anil (28) was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Kulcharam mandal, Medak district of the state. Bullets were found near his body, reported Telangana Today. However, the cause of death is yet to be confirmed. Anil reportedly had injuries on his right shoulder and chest. Police have launched an investigation.
