Red Alert Issued In Rajasthan's Barmer, Citizens Asked To Remain In Place
Red alerts have reportedly been issued for all the bordering districts of Rajasthan, including Sri Ganganagar, Jaisalmer, Barmer, and Suratgarh.

Amid rising tensions along the Line of Control, the District administration in Barmer has issued a red alert for the city, implementing a complete blackout as a precautionary measure. The Barmer District Magistrate issued an urgent appeal to residents via social media stating, "There is a high red alert notification for Barmer, therefore the general public is requested to please stay at home. Observe complete blackout. Do not use any lights. Do not go out with vehicles."
Red alerts have reportedly been issued for all the bordering districts of Rajasthan, including Sri Ganganagar, Jaisalmer, Barmer, and Suratgarh.
This development comes as Pakistani drones were reportedly sighted in Jammu, Samba, and Pathankot on Friday night, with Indian military forces actively engaging them, according to military officials. The drone activity occurs just one day after India successfully thwarted Pakistan's attempts to attack Indian military installations using drones and missiles.
Residents in the Jammu region and south Kashmir reported hearing blasts and sirens as several areas of the Union Territory were plunged into darkness. Tensions between the neighboring countries have escalated significantly following the Indian Armed Forces' precision strikes on Wednesday, which targeted terror launchpads in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
These strikes were conducted in response to the April 22 terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives, mostly tourists.
