A wall of a residential society collapsed on Sunday, July 13. The incident was caught on camera, and its video is now doing rounds on social media.

Jodhpur: Heavy rains lashed several parts of Rajasthan in the past 24 hours. Due to heavy showers, normal life was thrown out of gear in Jodhpur. Waterlogging was reported at various places. A wall of a residential society collapsed on Sunday, July 13. The incident was caught on camera, and its video is now doing rounds on social media.

In the video, it could be seen. that a man was standing next to the gate of his house when the wall collapsed. Due to the collapse, one part of the gate of the house also fell into the adjacent vacant area. Several vehicles parked in the lane of the society were damaged.

Residents of the society rushed out of their houses after the collapse. Fortunately, no one was injured in the collapse. The incident took place in the Paota area of Jodhpur.

Video Of The Incident:

Notably, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a warning for heavy rains in 18 districts of Rajasthan on Monday. "Extremely heavy rainfall (≥21 cm) very likely at isolated places over East Rajasthan during 13th-15th July and West Rajasthan on 14th & 15th July," the IMD said in its weather forecast on July 13.

Waterlogging In Jodhpur:

According to reports, at least five people lost their lives in rain-related incidents across the state.

In Bhilwara, two people lost their lives after being swept away in a rain drain, while in Rajsamand, a brother-sister duo died after being drowned in a pond, reported Bhaskar English. In Beawar, a child died after reportedly slipping into the mud. Waterlogging was also reported near Ajmer railway station due to which several train services were disrupted.
