Rajasthan On High Alert: Jodhpur & Jaisalmer Airports Shut After 'Operation Sindoor'; Flights Suspended In Border Cities

Jaipur: After the air strike on Pakistan, the border state of Rajasthan is on high alert. Flight operations from Jodhpur and Jaisalmer airports have been stopped until May 10th, while flight operations from Bikaner airport also remain closed on Wednesday. Considering the current situation, North-Western Railway has cancelled the leave of all its officers and employees and the state government has also directed all the police personnel to report to their headquarters.

Looking at this, the schools in these border districts remained closed. Examinations were cancelled and leaves of government employees in Bikaner and Sri Ganganagar were cancelled and were ordered not to leave the headquarters.

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma who was at the training camp of the party in Gujarat returned immediately after the air strike and took stock of the security arrangements in the state.
In a high-level meeting with officials, the CM gave instructions to tighten the security across the state and especially in the border areas.
He also directed the police and administration to take all necessary steps in coordination with the Union Home Ministry and central agencies.
CM Sharma said that considering the present situation, anti-national forces may try to disturb the communal harmony in the state. He directed the police officers to take immediate action against those spreading rumors along with effective monitoring on social media.
While reviewing the internal security plan and disaster management of all the districts, the Chief Minister said that the availability of adequate medicines, oxygen, and ambulances should be ensured in the hospitals.

At the same time, on the directions of the central government, the mock drill was also performed in 28 civil defense districts including the highly sensitive Rawatbhata and Kota and all the border districts of the state.
Talking about the reactions, there were celebrations across the state. People took on the streets and raised the slogans of Bharat Mata ki Jai with the Tricolor in their hands.
Leaders of all the political parties, including the opposition Congress, welcomed the air strike and said that all are firmly stand with the government and the armed forces.
