Jaipur: With four students among the top 10 rank holders, coaching hub Kota has once again set a benchmark in the country’s toughest and most prestigious engineering entrance exam, JEE-Advanced. The All India Topper Rajit Gupta who scored 332 marks out of 360 is from Kota, while the AIR 2nd rank holder Saksham Jindal has also studied in Kota.

The result of JEE Advanced 2025 was announced by the IIT Kanpur who conducted the exam on May 18 in two shifts for 17,740 seats across 23 IITs in the country.

The coaching hub Kota has secured the AIR 1 for the second consecutive year. This year's topper, Rajit Gupta is a resident of Mahavir Nagar-III, Kota and his father, Deepak Gupta is an engineer with the BSN Kota. Rajit's mother, Dr. Shruti Agarwal is a professor at JDB Girls College of the city.

Sharing his success story, Rajit said “I learned lessons from every mistake and did not repeat them. The foundation of the subject becomes strong only when mistakes are removed. My key to success is happiness. I remain happy in every situation. Even now, if I get a chance, I play with the children of the colony.”

Rajit, who earlier scored 100 percentiles in the JEE Main January session and secured AIR 16 in the April session, said that he never strictly followed a schedule for studies because it creates unnecessary pressure. “ I used to study only when I felt like it, but for whatever time I studied, It was concentrated and focused. I used to move further on the topic only after clearing my doubts," said Rajit.

While the second rank holder, Saksham Jindal, a resident of Hisar (Haryana) is a cricketer as well and has played at the Under-14 district level.

The other two students among the top 10 who prepared in Kota are Akshat Kumar at AIR-06 and Devesh Pankaj at AIR-8.

Despite the student suicides often upsetting the city in recent times, Kota retains its legacy of giving the best results.
