Punjab Markets Back To Normal, But Schools In Border Districts Remain Shut
While all the schools in Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur and Fazilka remained closed, colleges and universities also remained shut in Pathankot and Gurdaspur.

Chandigarh: While marketplaces across Punjab returned to normalcy, the schools and colleges in the border districts including Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Ferozepur, Tarn Taran and Fazilka, remained shut as a precautionary measure on Monday in the wake of a pause on hostilities between India and Pakistan.
Punjab shares a 553-km border with Pakistan.
While all the schools in Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur and Fazilka remained closed, colleges and universities also remained shut in Pathankot and Gurdaspur.
Even as usual hustle bustle was back in the marketplaces of towns and cities of the districts named above, the administration did not clamp blackouts in the border districts and held that the situation was under control .The people were, however, urged to observe caution and advised them to voluntarily switch off lights at homes and avoid venturing outside unless necessary.

It may be recalled that while all the border districts witnessed several drones’ attacks, Pathankot saw waves of drones attacks though most of them were intercepted and neutralised by the Indian armed forces.
AMRITSAR, CHANDIGARH AIRPORTS RESUME OPERATIONS
Meanwhile, the Amritsar airport resumed operations for the commercial and domestic flights on Monday.
Stating that all the necessary checks and preparations had been made, officials said that the airport was now fully functional.
Flight operations at the Chandigarh airport also resumed on Monday in the wake of suspension of hostilities between India and Pakistan.
Chandigarh is the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana.
