Pahalgam Terror Attack: Jharkhand Man Arrested After Social Media Post Thanking Terrorists For Killing Tourists Goes Viral
Police said that Naushad congratulated the terrorists for the Pahalgam incident and wrote several other provocative things. On X, he posted in Urdu: "Thank you Pakistan, thank you Lashkar-e-Taiba. May Allah always keep you happy."

The entire nation is mourning the brutal killing of 28 innocent people by terrorists in Pahalgam. Even leaders of other countries have condemned the incident in strong words. However, Mohammad Naushad, a resident of Bokaro in Jharkhand, was reportedly elated over the killing of innocent tourists. Not only did he express his joy on social media, but he also supported the act committed by the terrorists.
Several users on social media tagged the Jharkhand Police, demanding action against Mohammad Naushad. Responding to the complaints, Bokaro Police tracked him down and arrested him on Wednesday morning, as per reports.
According to the police, Mohammad Naushad is 35 years old and received his education from a madrasa in Bihar. One of his brothers lives in Dubai. Naushad lives in Bokaro with his father.
Reportedly, he has made several provocative posts on social media in the past as well. Using a SIM card obtained through his brother in Dubai, Naushad has been active on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram.
Police said that Naushad congratulated the terrorists for the Pahalgam incident and wrote several other provocative things. On X, he posted in Urdu: "Thank you Pakistan, thank you Lashkar-e-Taiba. May Allah always keep you happy."
He followed it with: "Ameen, Ameen. We would be even happier if the RSS, BJP, Bajrang Dal, and media are targeted." Naushad also included smiley emojis in the post.

Naushad is accused of posting many more objectionable and inflammatory statements. After complaints were filed against him, Bokaro SP Manoj Swargiyari formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in coordination with the technical branch of the police. Inspector Naveen Kumar Singh was made the head of this team.
The SIT searched for Naushad throughout the night, and he was finally caught by the police on Wednesday morning.
