New Delhi: Days after the Pahalgam terror attack, India is mulling to close airspace for Pakistani airlines, claimed media reports citing sources. With this move, Pakistani airlines have to reroute their flights towards Southeast Asia.
Once India closes its airspace for the airlines from the neighbouring countries, Pakistani carriers will have to fly over China or Sri Lanka to reach destinations like Kuala Lumpur.
As per an India Today report, the government is also considering a ban on Pakistani ships at Indian ports.
Last week, Pakistan closed its airspace for Indian airlines as tension escalated between the two countries after the Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in the death of 28 people including one local Kashmir pony guide. Among the 27 tourists killed one was a Nepali citizen.
