Hoshiarpur: A fully intact China-made PL-15 long-range air-to-air missile was recovered from Punjab's Hoshiarpur. Reports claimed that the missile must have been fired from a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) jet.
Police officials reached the spot after receiving the information. A video of police officials inspecting the Pakistani missile surfaced online.
Notably, PL-15 is a China-made active radar-guided long-range air-to-air missile. It is currently being used by the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) and Naval Air Force (PLANAF), and the Pakistani Air Force. The PL-15 is developed by the Luoyang-based China Airborne Missile Academy (CAMA).
Notably, Pakistan, on the intervening night of May 8 and 9, targeted the cities of border states of India.
Meanwhile, India on Thursday night foiled Pakistan's attempts to strike military sites with drones and missiles at 15 places in northern and western regions of the country. Earlier on Thursday, India targeted Pakistani air defence systems with one in Lahore being "neutralised", as tensions soared between the two countries amid fears of a wider conflict.
The attempts by Pakistan came after the Indian armed forces early Wednesday carried out precise missile strikes on nine terror targets in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Pakistan under 'Operation Sindoor'.
