A shocking incident took place in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur, where a 24-year-old man drowned in a swimming pool on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Shikhar Singh.

Kanpur: A shocking incident took place in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur, where a 24-year-old man drowned in a swimming pool on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Shikhar Singh. He had reportedly gone with his friends to a pool party.
During the party, Singh went deep into the swimming pool. The incident was recorded on CCTV and its footage surfaced online. His father told Dainik Bhaskar that Singh had gone to Water Wall swimming at Sanigwan to enjoy with his friends.
In the video, it could be seen that Singh tried to swim for at least two minutes. His friends did not notice that Singh was drowning.

However, after two minutes, when Singh's friends observed that there was no movement, they took him out of the swimming pool. He was rushed to a hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased's family was informed about the incident. The body has been sent for postmortem. After hearing the news of Singh's death, his mother and sister fell unconscious, reported Aaj Tak. Notably, the deceased's family has not filed any police complaint so far.
Singh was a contractor and lived in the Yashoda Nagar area in the city. He was the only son of his parents. As per the police, nothing suspicious was found in the CCTV footage.
