As of 2 pm today, the death toll in the Odisha Train Tragedy has risen to 288 while 747 people have been injured along with 56 grievously injured: Indian Railways
"It's a painful incident. Govt will leave no stone unturned for the treatment of those injured. It's a serious incident, instructions issued for probe from every angle. Those found guilty will be punished stringently. Railway is working towards track restoration. I met the injured victims," PM Modi told the media after reviewing the situation at the accident site in Balasore.
PM Modi has left the accident site in Balasore and is now heading towards the Cuttack Hospital to meet the survivors of the triple train accident.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Balasore in Odisha to assess the situation at the accident site. He will also visit Cuttack to check on the survivors and their families.
Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal met the injured of the train accident at Community Health Centre in Soro, Balasore and asked the doctors to ensure proper treatment for them.

Andhra CM sets up panel to visit Odisha train accident site
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday constituted a high-level panel of IAS officers to visit the site of the tragic train accident in Odisha's Balasore district. The panel will be headed by the state's IT Minister G Amarnath.
The decision was taken after the Chief Minister held a high-level meeting with CMO officials here earlier in the day Saturday and reviewed the situation.
