New COVID-19 Variants XFG & LF.7.9 Detected In Rajasthan
Sample of four Covid positive patients were sent to NIV lab in Pune for genome sequencing and two patients have been found positive of XFG and the other two were of LF.7.9 strains.

Jaipur: New variants of Covid have been confirmed in Rajasthan. The genome sequencing report of Covid patients of Jaipur reveals that strains of XFG and LF.7.9 are active in the state.
Sample of four Covid positive patients were sent to NIV lab in Pune for genome sequencing and two patients have been found positive of XFG and the other two were of LF.7.9 strains.
Principal of SMS Medical College, Dr. Deepak Maheshwari said that these strains are not very dangerous, however, children, elderly, and patients suffering from any serious disease going to crowded areas should use masks.
Notably, a total of 54 cases have been reported in the state so far. Out of which 15 were reported on Thursday
