Mumbai: A high-profile security breach was reported at Sandhu Palace, a luxury residential building in Bandra West, after an unidentified man entered the premises, damaged the lift, and made inappropriate gestures in front of CCTV cameras. The Khar police have registered a case under Sections 324(2) and 324(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and have reportedly identified the suspect, though his name has not been officially disclosed.
The incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. on June 19, 2025, at Sandhu Palace Housing Society on Nargis Dutt Road. Notably, the building houses several Bollywood celebrities, including Kriti Sanon and Jaaved Jaaferi.
According to police sources, the man entered the building complex in a yellow car through Gate No. 1. When questioned by security supervisor Shyam Pandey, the intruder claimed he was heading to a flat on the 17th floor. Since the flat owner had previously instructed security staff not to call via intercom and to allow visitors directly, Pandey permitted the man to enter after notifying others via walkie-talkie.
After parking his car and using the restroom, the man returned and asked to visit a flat on the 14th floor. When the guard requested an access card and attempted to verify with the flat via intercom, he received no response. Growing suspicious, the security team alerted other guards and escorted the man out.
