Meerut Murder Case: Muskan Bought 2 Knives For ₹800 To Chop Saurabh's Dead Body Into 15 Pieces; She Slit Throat & Sahil Severed Head

Meerut (Uttar Pradesh), March 25: In the latest update in the gruesome murder of the Merchant Navy officer in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut, murderer wife Muskan Rastogi had reportedly bought two knives to chop the dead body of her husband into fifteen pieces. Saurabh was murdered on March 4, his dead body was chopped and concealed in a plastic drum filled with cement.

As per reports from NDTV, Muskan had bought the knives around eight days before the murder took place, revealed police investigation. The reports also stated that she and her lover Sahil Shukla practiced stabbing multiple times before committing the heinous crime.

Muskan bought the knives from a shop saying that she wanted it to slaughter and cut chicken into pieces to avoid suspicion. However, these knives were used to kill her husband Saurabh.

The police investigation further revealed that Muskan had also bought a cut-throat razor, however, she had no prior experience in using knives. There are reports that the same razor was used to severe the head of Saurabh from his body.

Details About The Incident

Muskan and her lover Sahil Shukla confessed to stabbing Saurabh to death on March 4. They further said that they then dismembered the dead body of Saurabh and placed the remains in a plastic drum and filled it with cement to conceal the crime. After committing the heinous crime, Muskan and Sahil went on a vacation to a hill station for two weeks.

The murder was highlighted when Muskan's mother went to the police and said that her daughter has confessed to her about killing her husband and concealing his dead body into a drum. Police arrested both the accused in the murder and took them into custody. They then led the police to the drum with the mortal remains of Saurabh inside.

Motive Behind The Murder

Saurabh Rajput's murder was driven by betrayal, drug addiction and fear. His wife Muskaan Rastogi and her lover Sahil Shukla were addicted to drugs and feared Saurabh would stop them.

Saurabh, who had returned from London for his daughter’s birthday, planned to renew his visa and take his family with him. Muskaan refused, wanting to stay in Meerut, likely for Sahil.

On March 3, she drugged Saurabh, stabbed him and slit his throat while Sahil beheaded him. They chopped the body into 15 pieces, sealed it in a drum with cement and planned to hide it. However, the drum was too heavy to move, leading Muskaan to confess the crime to her parents, who informed the police.
